The GUEST AREA for either a wedding or reception will be your guests seating.

For the wedding it’s the chairs. If your venue doesn’t have chairs I rent a white/ silver samsonite metal folding chair. They are very nice and sturdier than some. You will also need to think of isle décor and whether you’re going to have an isle runner or not.

In your reception area it will be tables and chairs. I rent a 4’ round table that seat 6, and have linens that fit either the 4’ or 5’ round tables, and you have your choice of either long or shorter. My linens are white but I do have 90” in off white. I have toppers that are 60” or 70” square, and these we use as the colors. You will also need some sort of a centerpiece for the tables. Here again, the sky’s the limit.

The OPTIONAL AREA includes a dance floor area, and also a trousseau or hobby area. A lot of weddings now include a dance area. So you need to think about the area for the band or DJ, and then a designated area for the dance floor. One of our dance floor canopies or just columns on the four corners is a great idea.

Also a trousseau is a term from the old days which means things shown off that the wife is bringing into the marriage. Like quilts, dishes, linens, etc. Now it includes generally a table that lets people know about the couple. Like what you did in school ex. drama, sports, things you’ve done together etc. These areas are totally up to you and what you want.
